HOW WOULD YOU GET THE GOVERS BACK ON TRACK?
Are you tired of institutional bad behavior, wasteful use of public resources and officious bullying and intimidation fear tactics of those that are supposed to serve us -I am . Today I was visited by 7 firemen and 2 opp officers - to put out controlled wood fire of yard waste from winter storms. It took 10 minutes to put the " not official fire -it apparently needed a fee of 200$ and bureaucratic blessing to be official) Over the next 2 hrs on a great sunny work day- the uninvited uniformed intruders finally left. Public Cost ( 9 x 2 hrs x $150 =2700 TO 3000$ est. and one angry property owner are you ready to stop this -I am

In response- re 2 hours of 9 public uniforms to put out a 10 minute fire - the new "Inepto" award
Business opportunity Would you- Buy this - to stop the fat, govers oversizing and waste?

In 1960, the average US farmer fed just 26 people. Today, that farmer feeds 155 people, growing more on every acre every year.
And that’s not all — America’s farmers produce feed for cows and pigs and chickens… and grow enough to fuel our cars and trucks with cleaner, renewable fuels. That’s more than 13 billion gallons of renewable fuel powering our cars and 34 million tons of animal feed in 2012 alone.
How do they do it? Through innovation and technology, farmers are growing more crops on the same land, more sustainably. From soybeans to corn to wheat, yields are up by as much as 64% since 1980, and they continue to rise. Water use? Down by up to 75%. Soil erosion? Down between 30% and 60%. Energy use to grow crops? It’s been cut by half.
And now, farmers are diversifying by using land not suitable for crops to grow more feedstocks (non-edible plants like switchgrass that can be made into advanced renewable fuel). More food, more feed and more fuel, more efficiently. And we’re just getting started.

Fifteen percent of Canadian companies said they have been asked to pay bribes, sharply lower than the 28 percent global rate. Fourteen percent said they've lost business for refusing to pay. Knowledge is the tool to stop corruption.

Business and government: The new age of crony capitalism | The Economist
Business and government: The new age of crony capitalism | The Economist

The last reason for optimism is that the incentives for politicians have changed, too. Growth has slowed sharply, making reforms that open the economy vital. Countries with governments that are reforming and trying to tackle vested interests, such as Mexico, have been better insulated from the jitters in the financial markets.
There is much more to be done. Governments need to be more assiduous in regulating monopolies, in promoting competition, in ensuring that public tenders and asset sales are transparent and in prosecuting bribe-takers. The boom that created a new class of tycoon has also created its nemesis, a new, educated, urban, taxpaying middle class that is pushing for change. That is something autocrats and elected leaders ignore at their peril.

The best way "Old Rome" could control the people was through the Gladiator Games and nationalistic fervour that saw violence as good and criminals as demigods.
Government's have plenty of money, and dish it out to keep the people happy enough to be allowed to work for the global domination driven elite and dumb enough to think that it is a gift given to them by their superiors.
We have enough money we just spend it badly ? The compelling argument for ending the "Wars on" by government strategy

The concept originated in the United Kingdom in 2008 and caught on worldwide, including in the United States, where they are known as “pay for success” bonds. seems like a great idea
Why are existing social institutions so afraid of performance programs that work?

Veterans lifeline lost as VAC offices close | FAIR
Veterans lifeline lost as VAC offices close | FAIR
The one accusation on many veterans’ minds: why do Laurie Hawn and the rest of the Conservative Caucus allow Treasury Board and VAC senior bureaucracy to run roughshod over veterans’ rights to “be treated with respect, dignity, fairness and courtesy”?
There are two likely answers to this. In spite of Harper’s reputation of stepping all over the bureaucracy, he has been troublingly incapable of standing up to the most senior planners in all departments but especially VAC. The other possibility is an ideologically disturbing one: that the Conservatives believe disabled veterans are milking the system. By making programs increasingly harder to access, as veteran Bruce Moncur laments, government has a policy of “delay, deny and die” for veterans.
On the other ..... why not use technology to bridge the gap ? There are many alternatives to provide better one on one support. Skype and Face time come to mind . Better win wins are available to be fair.
